What chimney services do you offer?

We handle the core services that keep your fireplace and home air systems in good shape: chimney sweeping, inspection, repair and masonry, relining, caps and crowns, gas fireplace service, and dryer vent cleaning. Because one crew does all of it, findings from your inspection turn into a clear, priced plan — not a referral to someone else.

Which service do I need?

If you are not sure, start with an inspection. It tells you the real condition of the flue, liner, crown, and cap, and whether you need a sweep, a repair, or nothing yet. Most homeowners who burn wood need an annual sweep and inspection; if you have noticed water stains, a strong odor, or smoke in the room, the inspection will pinpoint the cause before it gets expensive.

How the parts of your chimney work together

The flue carries smoke and gases out; the liner protects the masonry and keeps the fire contained; the crown and cap keep water and animals out of the top; and the damper controls draft. A problem in one part shows up in another — a missing cap lets water rot a liner, and a cracked crown lets freeze-thaw damage spread into the brick. Servicing the system as a whole is why small annual visits prevent large repairs.

Answers

Common questions

Do you offer both cleaning and repair?
Yes. The same crew that sweeps and inspects your chimney also handles masonry repair, relining, caps, and crowns. That means the person who finds a problem is the one who can explain and fix it — no handoff to a separate contractor.
Can everything be done in one visit?
Often a sweep and Level 1 inspection happen in the same visit, usually 45 to 90 minutes. Repairs and relining are scheduled separately once you have seen the written findings and approved a price, because they need specific materials and more time.
Do you work on gas and wood-burning fireplaces?
Both. We sweep and inspect wood-burning fireplaces and flues, and we clean and safety-check gas logs and inserts. Tell us what you have when you call so we bring the right tools.
How do I know which service I need?
If you are unsure, book an inspection first. It establishes the condition of the whole system and tells you exactly what — if anything — needs doing, so you are not paying for work you do not need.
Do you clean dryer vents as well?
Yes. Dryer vent cleaning uses similar tools and skills, and lint buildup is a real fire hazard. We clear the full duct run and check airflow. See dryer vent cleaning.
Are you insured?
Yes, we are fully insured. If you would like proof of insurance before your appointment, ask when you call and we will send it.
What areas do you serve?
We are based in Liberty and serve the Northland and Clay County, including Kearney, Smithville, Gladstone, Excelsior Springs, Pleasant Valley, and the Kansas City Northland. See service areas.
